Our Rector Prof. Dr. Semih Aktekin's Message on '8 March International Women's Day'
08/03/2021

When we look historically, when we see someone else, societies; We are witnessing the acceleration of 'enlightenment and development' rising. Substitution research of another element that is central to man; emerged in history as periods of great humanitarian difficulties.

In our culture where the owner of mind and will is at the center of the universe; We see the importance of looking at people as a whole.

In our ancient culture and belief system, the paradigm of values towards people and especially women is very strong. In ancient Turkish inscriptions; In addition to being a productive person equal to men and a 'chick' in the important social, her holiness is also mentioned. The hadith "Heaven is under the feet of mothers" and Hünkar Hacı Bektaş Veli's statement "Let your women be educated" are laconic examples of the view towards women and their social rights in our culture.

Sufism was planned as "perfect man"; the understanding of time, place and new offer “hours and maturing people”; It is a milky 'truth' vision that the individual development of men and women involves the maturation of maturity.

A social life where 'human rights and freedoms', which are the common achievements of all humanity, are under constitutional and cultural guarantee, gender discrimination, where the central position knowledge of human and it can be developed with the free will of the individual; Encountering the "" problem, it will be easier to solve such problems that arise such as least maintenance.

The importance of providing "equality of opportunity" in accessing all the resources needed for his "material and spiritual" development, regardless of gender, is obvious.

With these thoughts, I congratulate "March 8 International Women's Day" with my sincere wishes and wish you health and peace.
